Kendall Street Company started jamming and songwriting together in 2013 or so and have since grown into a super tight touring rock band that some genre purists may classify as a “jam band” because their shows and albums are all over the place. This is good for their collective artistic expression as five young creatives with tons of ideas and influences, but sometimes difficult to convey to the uninitiated. Speaking of cults, they even have a cute little mascot called Lenny the Lemon. All Hail Lenny. But yeah, you’ve got songs about misfit sea creatures, heartfelt nostalgic love ballads, improvised mystical space operas, and even a funky ode to the state of California. If any or all of that sounds like you, take a deep dive into their discography and find what works for you. Their most recent live record, aptly titled “Live in ‘25’” is a good place to start. Or just come to a show, it’s a lot of fun.

2026 will be a big year for the band with at least 80 shows already planned throughout the US of A, including their first appearance on Jam Cruise and their fifth annual Lovers Tour. Quarter one, they will release a cover of Cake’s “Short Skirt / Long Jacket” that went viral online for a hot sec. Later in there year the band is planning to release a full length album with the working title “Folk Songs, Sea Shanties, & the Infernal Yodeling Astroman from Deep Space.”

And if that isn’t enough, they recently recorded two songs, produced by Dave Schools of Widespread Panic, one of which is a Colonel Bruce inspired version of Sun Ra’s “Space is the Place” along with an original “So Will The Robots Be.” In short, do not let 2026 go by without experiencing Kendall Street Company.
